Originally an art educator, I found my way towards counseling during my first years of teaching. Students would join me for lunch, seeking that individualized attention, and I discovered the joy felt when providing personal insight and making meaningful connections.

My experience with people spans from growing up on a small island in the diverse and eclectic Caribbean, to working as an art teacher, and then as a case manager in Chicago Public Schools. For the last 10 years I have been a school counselor at a small K-12 school on the southside, along with working in private practice since 2020. I have experience working with Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, School Refusal, and LGBTQ issues.

During my free time, I enjoy reading, tending to my native plant garden, hanging with my 2 cats, parenting my middle schooler, and escaping to interesting coastlines or food destinations. I have lived in Chicago for over 20 years.
